Artist's Biography

Edwin is from the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation, Pukatawagan, Manitoba. He was born in the Pas, Manitoba on September 4, 1972. Edwin was strongly influenced by his father who was a Wild Life Artist. After his father passed away, Edwin maintained a strong interest to express himself through mixed mediums which include acrylic paint, pencil, crayon, charcoal and sponge.

Edwin's focus on Native art began in 1990. He has sold commissioned work to collectors and businesses; attended art shows; conferences, and has donated to organization. His work revolves around wild life, his culture, Native spirituality and nature scenes.

He has created his own style through the help and inspiration from Elders, family and other artist.His main goal is to provide teachings and understanding of his ancestor's way of life, survival and spirituality. Every individual's interpretation is a statement of knowledge within the unlimited expression of energy in creation.
