MICEC Online

Audrey Logan on Gardening and Planting

MICEC Online is a series of virtual educational presentations and discussions on themes of traditional parenting, food, medicine, crafting, language, storytelling, reconciliation and more.

The Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Education Centre is a not-for-profit charitable organization, and a member of the First Nations Confederacy of Cultural Education Centres. MICEC supports Indigenous language knowledge, traditional and contemporary cultural skills, and cross-cultural awareness.

Audrey Logan is a Nēhiyāwiskwēw (Plains Cree woman) from Northern Alberta. Audrey supports Indigenous food sovereignty and security through the West Broadway community garden, where she shares her knowledge with the community. Audrey is also involved in Dehydration Nations, a grassroots indigenous-led initiative that hopes to empower individuals to harness the traditional method of food dehydration and nation-to-nation trade. In this session of MICEC Online Audrey shares her work with us at MICEC.

Thank you to the NIB Trust Fund for supporting MICEC Online.
